Guo Shihao

Guo Shihao, male, born in October 1946, from Jia County, Shaanxi. After a seventeen-year military career, he worked for a state-owned enterprise for more than twenty years. In the military, he was a cultural worker; in the enterprise, he was a trade union worker. Thus, he enjoyed a favorable environment and a positive atmosphere for calligraphy practice. Influenced by his father, he developed an early interest in painting, calligraphy, and photography, and music and chess have cultivated his temperament. His calligraphy work "Five Tang Poems" was exhibited at the China National Art Museum, and several of his works have been published in provincial or ministerial-level newspapers and magazines, and have won awards in national competitions.
