Personal Profile

Dang Shitou, from Shaanxi Chang'an, was born in 1981 into a farming family and developed a deep passion for art from childhood, earning great affection from his teachers. He apprenticed under local master artist Wang Zhiwen from an early age. In 2008, he furthered his studies at the Xu Beihong Studio. He is currently a member of the Shaanxi Artists Association, the Shaanxi Oil Painting Art Research Society, and the Chang'an District Youth Artists Association, and resides in Xi'an dedicated to artistic creation and research. In 2010, his work "Old Cave Dwelling" won the Outstanding Award at the First Yun Guan Cup. In 2005, he signed with Dafenqi Oil Painting Company! In 2006, he signed with Beijing Ren Gallery! In 2013, his work "Waiting" was selected for the 12th National Art Exhibition. In 2015, his work "Still Life" was selected for the Second Shaanxi Art Sketching Exhibition. In 2015, he founded "Xi'an Yizhidu Art Culture Media Co., Ltd." In 2016, his work "Old Gate Tower" was exhibited at the Second Shaanxi Art Sketching Exhibition. In 2018, his works "Yao Drum" and "Flowers" were honored with the title "Love and Care for the Elderly, Poverty Alleviation Advocate" at the charity auction activity "Care for the Elderly, Targeted Poverty Alleviation." Also in the same year, his works were collected by friends from both domestic and international communities!
