 Zhang Xiaofeng, male, Han ethnicity, was born in April 1979 in Baishui County, Shaanxi Province. His courtesy name is "Yizhong," and his art names are "Yunqing Jushi" and "Yajuge Zhu."
   He enlisted in the military in 1996 and successively served as a platoon leader, staff officer, political instructor, deputy battalion commander, propaganda officer, political commissar, battalion commander, and deputy chief of staff of a brigade. He holds a university degree and the rank of major. He retired in 2017. Since childhood, Mr. Zhang Xiaofeng has been deeply influenced by Cangjie culture and has developed a profound passion for calligraphy and painting. At the age of eight, he was introduced to the art of calligraphy by the renowned contemporary Chinese painter Mr. Chen Hong. During his military career, he received meticulous guidance from Mr. Zheng Xiaocheng, a council member of the China Calligraphers Association, deputy editor-in-chief of the magazine "PLA Fine Arts & Calligraphy," and member of the Art Committee of the PLA Academy of Fine Arts and Calligraphy. He is currently a member of the China National Calligraphers Association, a member of the Shaanxi Calligraphers Association, executive vice president and director of the office of the Shaanxi Institute of Painting and Calligraphy Art, and a member of the Xi'an Yu Youren Calligraphy and Painting Association.
   In the field of calligraphy and painting, he has consistently upheld cultural confidence and taken it upon himself to promote traditional Chinese culture, continuously innovating while inheriting and developing the art through life practice. His works have appeared in numerous media outlets. His ink-wash painting "Monkey Longevity" won first prize in China's First "Fu" Culture Competition; his running-cursive work "Qinyuanchun · Snow" won first prize in the National "Ba Dashanren" Calligraphy and Painting Competition; his running script piece "The People's Liberation Army Occupies Nanjing" won second prize in the Second International Calligraphy Competition; his regular script piece "Praising Yinchuan" won second prize in the "Yinwai Cup" National Calligraphy and Painting Competition; his running script version of "Invitation to Wine" won second prize in the First Cross-Strait Calligraphy Exhibition "Huang Daozhou Award"... Many of his works have been collected by collectors in the United States, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and other regions abroad.
