Zheng Bowen, style name Shuchen, is a member of the China Calligraphers Association, a researcher at the China Regular Script Art Research Institute, a member of the China News and Publishing Calligraphers Association, and president of the China Great Culture Calligraphy and Painting Academy. He is also a member of the Shaanxi Provincial Calligraphers Association, vice chairman of the Beilin Calligraphers and Painters Association in Xi’an, a researcher at the Xi’an Yu Youren Calligraphy Society, a visiting professor of calligraphy at Huanghuai University, and a calligraphy professor at Shaanxi International Business College. He has served as a member of the 13th and 14th CPPCC Committee of Beilin District, Xi’an. Since childhood, he has been passionate about calligraphy and seal carving, and later engaged in cultural communication and the development and innovation of art products. He received guidance from teachers Hu Shuqun and Tian Xuanjun, and Professor Hu Limin of the China Calligraphers Association Training Center. He initially studied the Zhang Qian Stele, followed by the Cao Quan Stele, the Jiucheng Palace Stele, the Zhang Xuan Tomb Inscription, the Zhang Menglong Stele, the Yue’an Wang Stele, the Li Bi Tomb Inscription, and the Gao Daoyue Tomb Inscription, with a particular focus on the study of Northern Wei calligraphy, tile inscriptions, and ancient seals.
