Zhang Jishan was born in 1955 in Han? Village, Qiao Town, Dali County, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province. From a young age, he had a deep passion for calligraphy. During and after high school, inspired and enlightened by his teacher Party Zhitin, he entered the initial stage of calligraphy practice. He persistently studied and copied ancient masterpieces such as Wang Xizhi's "Lanting Xu," Ouyang Xun's regular script, Tian Yingzhang's regular script, Lu Dingshan's "Hundred Surnames," Feng Zhifu, Zhang Jichun's "Five Scripts Common Characters," and the Thousand Character Classic in seal, clerical, regular, and cursive scripts. He also studied the stroke patterns and character composition rules from Li Tiansheng's hard-pen calligraphy. Through diligent study and relentless practice, he served as a calligraphy teacher for 13 years in Pucheng, Xi'an, and Dali County. He has participated in numerous exhibitions domestically and internationally, winning multiple awards. In 2019, he was honored as "National Annual Art Model Figure." In September 2019, he received the title of "Chinese Art Heritage Master," and in October 2019, he was awarded the title of "National First-Class Calligrapher." He is currently Vice President of the China Communication University Academy of Calligraphy, Vice Chairman of the Yu Youren Calligraphy Association, and the primary responsible person for calligraphy training at the China Communication University Academy of Calligraphy.
