Personal Profile
Guo Sen, born in November 1987, is from Jingyang, Shaanxi, the origin point of China's geodetic datum. He is passionate about public welfare, a rising star in the medical and artistic community, and a member of the China Realist Calligrapher and Painter Association.
He began learning calligraphy under his father’s guidance, initially studying Tang Dynasty regular script, then progressing to running and cursive scripts. Under the tutelage of numerous renowned calligraphy masters, his calligraphic skills have continuously improved. After twenty years of dedicated practice, his style integrates diverse influences, blending ancient traditions with modern innovation—steady, substantial, grand, and unrestrained, with fluid and vigorous brushwork that evokes a sense of boldness and magnificence.
He has successively joined the Xi’an Calligraphers Association, the Shaanxi Province Yu Youren Calligraphy Society, the Shaanxi Provincial Government Huanglou Painting Academy as a council member, the Shaanxi Charity Association, the Shaanxi Art Research Institute as a researcher, the Harmonious China Calligraphy and Painting Academy as a council member, the Xi’an Tongren Calligraphy and Painting Academy as a council member, the Shaanxi Cultural Industry Promotion Association as a council member, the Shaanxi Mao Zedong Calligraphy Research Association as a council member, and is also a member of the Xi’an Branch of the Shaanxi Provincial Government Huanglou Calligraphy and Painting Society.
In 2018, he won the Gold Award at the “Chinese Dream Cup” Calligraphy and Painting Competition. In 2019, he was honored with the title of “Jinghe Good Person” by the Jinghe New Area of Xixian New District, Shaanxi Province.
