Li Guowen, born in 1947, in Xiaoquan Village, Tongguan County (hence known as a native of Xiaoquan River). Since childhood, he has been passionate about painting and calligraphy. During junior high school, he frequently represented his school in higher-level painting and calligraphy competitions and won awards multiple times. Throughout his many years of teaching, he has always been accompanied by brush and ink, and voluntarily writes Spring Festival couplets for the village during holidays. His calligraphy was already included in the collections of four counties in Shaanxi’s Xifeng region in the 1980s. His hundred-meter-long calligraphy scroll commemorating the handovers of Hong Kong and Macao received material and civilizational awards. In 2016, his calligraphy won a Bronze Award at the World Chinese Calligraphy Competition, and from 2017 to 2019, his works were printed on stamp albums and postage stamps.
