Xiao Yanliang, male, born in 1963, from Xi'an, Shaanxi, pen names: Tang Yun, Yi Pin Xiansheng, art name: Wangxian Tai Ren. Since childhood, he was introduced to calligraphy by his father and has devoted over forty years to diligent study, primarily rooted in the great calligraphers of the Two Wangs from the Jin and Tang dynasties, extensively practicing renowned steles and masterpieces, with particular fondness for the cursive styles of Zhang and Huai, and the running script styles of Mi, Huang, and Sun. He integrates the styles of these masters into his own unique form, characterized by powerful, robust strokes that exude a commanding aura. His works have long been featured in national celebrity calligraphy and painting auctions, selected and exhibited in national and provincial, municipal, and county-level calligraphy and painting competitions, winning numerous awards, and he frequently participates in charity auctions, including various fundraising activities such as the "Assistance Plan" for impoverished students organized by the Xi'an Evening News. He has been praised by fellow calligraphers and art enthusiasts as a "dragon of the ink sea" and an outstanding master. Currently, he is a member of the China Calligraphers Association, Shaanxi Calligraphers Association, Xi'an Calligraphers Association, Sichuan Chengdu Calligraphy and Art Association, Shandong Qufu Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Institute member, one of China's Top 100 Calligraphers, currently serving as a director of the Ancient Chinese Culture Garden, honorary president of the Chinese Bigger-Character Calligraphy Garden, director of the Shaanxi Calligraphers Ancient City Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and deputy director of the Xi'an Jin-Tang Calligraphy Research Institute.
