Wu Qian, female, from Kaifeng, Henan, currently residing in Xi'an, pen name Han Mei, born in 1972, holds a Ph.D.
She has been passionate about calligraphy and painting since childhood, beginning her studies with the styles of Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi, while also practicing Tang dynasty regular script and the Jieziyuan Paint Manual, diligently studying without interruption.

In 1997, her woodcut print "Hong Kong's Return, National Celebration" was exhibited and published at the annual conference of the China Society of Arts and Crafts, accompanied by an academic paper. It received commentary and guidance from Zhang Ting, renowned calligrapher, painter, and designer of the national emblem and then-president of the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts, as well as woodblock printing expert Wang Shucun (Zhang Ting inscribed: "Han Mei’s Ink Fragrance"), and they took a commemorative photo together. In the same year, it was block-printed and distributed by the Zhuxian Town New Year Picture Research Association in Henan.
In 1999, her calligraphy work "Heart to Heart, Celebrating Macao’s Return; Hand in Hand, Building Together the Chinese Nation" won the Silver Award in the Calligraphy Competition Celebrating Macao’s Return and was collected by the Nanjing Museum; in the same year, her ink painting "The Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea" was selected for the large-scale anthology "Beijing at the Turn of the Century" (Beijing).
In 2001, her detailed-style figure painting "Chanting Water Margin" won an Excellence Award at the First "Water Margin Memorial" National Calligraphy and Painting Competition and was included in the exhibition catalog (published by Shandong Friendship Publishing House).
In 2014, her calligraphy piece "Reminiscences of the Red Cliffs" won the Third Prize in the nationwide "Meiyugao Cup" Calligraphy Competition.
In 2015, her calligraphy work "Qinyuanchun • Snow" won the Second Prize in the Fifth "Yanhuang Cup" International Calligraphy, Painting, and Seal Carving Art Competition and was included in the large international cultural exchange series "Who’s Who in the World" (China Volume). She has repeatedly participated in charitable calligraphy and painting donation activities.
On July 1, 2017, her work "Qinyuanchun • Snow" was auctioned for thousands of yuan in charity at the Dongguan Charity Auction hosted by the Lion’s Club Fuhui Service Team in Guangdong Province, with proceeds donated to underprivileged students in Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province.
Her calligraphy and painting works have also been collected by friends and enthusiasts from home and abroad, including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.
