Zhang Hulin, male, was born in 1986 in Shaanxi, Hanzhong, and has been passionate about calligraphy and painting since childhood. At the age of eight, he studied calligraphy under the renowned Chinese calligrapher Master Chen Zhupeng, beginning with Tang Dynasty regular script, and later became a disciple of calligrapher Xu Yuquan, studying the Wei-Jin style. As he grew older, he developed a special fondness for stone inscriptions such as the Thirteen Steles of Shimen.
He is currently a member of the China International Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Association, a lifetime member of the Cultural Development Promotion Association of the Ministry of Culture of China, a member of the Shaanxi Calligraphers Association, Vice President of the Qin-Lu Institute of Calligraphy and Painting, and a member of the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Association.
Over the years, he has diligently practiced the works of Wang Xizhi, including the Lantingji Xu and the Shengjiao Xu, and focused on cursive script through the Seventeen Scrolls of Zhang Xu and Huaisu. In addition to calligraphy, he enjoys seal carving in the style of ancient bronze and stone inscriptions, and has studied traditional Chinese ink landscape painting, particularly in the styles of the Song and Ming dynasties, to express his emotions and refine his skills. In recent years, his calligraphy and painting works have been collected by numerous domestic and international enthusiasts and renowned collectors.
In 2015, he presented a specially written character "Shou" (Longevity) to commemorate the 104th birthday of revolutionary veteran and Red Army elder Wang Dingguo, receiving great honor. Zhang Hulin’s artistic achievements in Hanzhong have attracted widespread attention within China’s calligraphy community.
In the autumn of 2016, he was specially appointed as a calligraphy instructor by the Party School of the Hantai District, Hanzhong City for its Elderly University. In April of this year, he was invited to join the Yixinzong Seal Carving and Calligraphy and Painting Academy as Executive Vice President and recognized as a Master of Chinese Art and Culture. His works have also been included in the "Who's Who in the World 2020 Edition." In July 2020, he was specially appointed by the Hanzhong Military District as a Cultural Integration Ambassador for Military-Civilian Collaboration!


Commissar Liu specially presented Zhang Hulin with a certificate of appointment, appointing me as the "Cultural Integration Ambassador for Military-Civilian Collaboration of the Hanzhong Military District," a prestigious honor!
In 2021, he was invited to participate in the grand event held from March 28 to 30 at the Star Avenue Studio of China Central Television in Beijing, jointly organized by multiple mainstream media outlets.
