      Zhang Jiaheng (1937--), currently residing in Shaanxi Xi'an, was influenced by Confucian and Mencian academies from an early age, thoroughly reading the Four Books and Five Classics, and mastering numerology, the Eight Trigrams, and name studies, hence adopting the alias Zhang Ce. He currently serves as an art consultant for the Ancient Chang'an Qiushi Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Institute and a specially invited calligrapher for the Guangdong South China Calligraphy and Painting Academy. Now in his eighties, he is deeply passionate about calligraphy art and has devoted over fifty years to its study and practice, diligently honing his skills without pause. He excels in cursive and clerical script calligraphy. His cursive script primarily features poems by Mao Zedong, characterized by fluid, elegant strokes and a unique personal style! His brushwork flows like drifting clouds and running water, landing as softly as smoke, resembling a dragon soaring and a phoenix dancing, with powerful, dramatic strokes and dynamic postures. His clerical script is graceful, solemn, simple yet encompassing the entirety of heaven and earth. His works have been exhibited in numerous domestic and international tours and are collected by many calligraphy enthusiasts!
