Liu Jinming, Meiwu Shanfang, Han Chinese, from Fengdong New City, Xixian New Area, Xi’an, Shaanxi, neighboring Afang. Since childhood, he has inherited the artistic tradition from his father and has persistently practiced calligraphy and painting for decades. In 1976, he became a disciple of Wang Zhongyin to study the fundamentals of sketching. In 1979, he studied sketching under Professor Xue Liangliang at the Art Academy. Later, he took the Jieziyuan Painting Manual as his teacher and gained profound insight into landscape and figure painting. I specialize in literature, comics, and clerical script and cursive script (inspired by Zhangcao); my clerical script draws from the Cao Quan, Zhang Qian, and Yi Ying steles, exhibiting both solemnity and elegant charm.   Personal Achievements Currently a member of the China National Construction Association, a member of the Chinese Hard-Pen Calligraphy Association, a commissioned artist of the Renhe Calligraphy and Painting Academy of Beijing, Deputy Secretary-General and Vice President of the Shaanxi Research Center for Promoting Han Culture, a member of the Xixian New Area Calligraphers Association, a member of the Xixian New Area Writers Association, a council member of the Xixian New Area Photographers Association, Vice President of the Xi’an Tongren Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, Chairman of the Xi’an Branch of the “Belt and Road” Initiative, and a National Gift Calligraphy and Painting Artist. Secretary-General of the Calligraphy and Painting Studio at Qianyu Xiyuan Community, Fengdong New City, Xixian New Area. His works are frequently published in “Author Alliance,” “People’s Daily,” “Chinese Ink Comic,” “Xi’an Taxation Column,” “Xi’an Evening News,” “National Art Masters,” “Toutiao,” “China Calligraphy Network,” “Jingzhao Literature,” and various online media platforms.
