Wang Baizhan, from Hua County, Shaanxi Province. Senior journalist, member of the Chinese Military Calligraphy and Painting Research Society, member of the Shaanxi and Xi'an Art Associations, and painter at the Calligraphy and Painting Academy of the Sanqin Culture Research Association.   Enjoys Qin Opera, Meihu, and shadow puppetry. Enlisted in 1968 and successively worked in the military on news reporting, film projection, and fine arts creation. After 12 years of military service, he transferred to civilian life and served as the head of the Shaanxi Bureau of China Science Daily, publishing thousands of articles. In his spare time, he never ceased painting and calligraphy, with nearly a hundred works published in relevant newspapers and journals. He has held two art exhibitions, with congratulatory inscriptions from Lu Jiayang, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Zhong Mingshan, Vice Chairman of the China Calligraphers Association, Wang Xijing, Chairman of the Xi'an Art Association and President of the Xi'an Chinese Painting Academy, among others.   Author of "Wang Baizhan Painting Collection," "Baizhan Poetry, Calligraphy, and Painting," "Paulownia Blossoms," "Yellow and Green," "The March of China's War of Resistance," and the Meihu opera "Gao Tang Bridge," among others.
