Personal Experience:
The First Person in China to Fold Hats: Xu Chuandong Xu Chuandong learned origami from a young age, mastering many traditional origami techniques and skills, laying a solid foundation for later innovations. In recent years, he combined excellent origami techniques from home and abroad with traditional origami art, creating many new shapes of animals, people, etc., especially 12 zodiac animal shapes, and each animal can be folded into at least three different forms. No one in Shanghai can match him, and he is known as the "First Person in Shanghai for Zodiac Animal Origami." During long-term teaching and performances, he found that paper hats were particularly popular, so he started to specialize in folding paper hats. At first, he could easily fold more than 20 hats. At that time, he thought, does paper hat folding have a world record? After checking, there was none. Since there was none, he would create it himself. What should the target for creating a record be? He first set it at 60 hats. After nearly a year of effort, this goal was achieved. But he felt 60 hats was too few, so he raised the goal to 80 hats. After more than half a year of research, the goal of 80 hats was also achieved. Thinking that 80 hats would be too few to apply for the Guinness World Records, he then raised the goal to 100 hats. As the number of hats increased, the difficulty became greater and greater. After relentless efforts, he not only reached but exceeded the set goals. Now he can fold 106 hats with distinctive styles from different countries and ethnic groups, which no one else in the world can do.
