Tan Chengzhen, styled Yunfei, also known as Qingya Jushi. Male, Han Chinese, born in 1970 in Juye County, Shandong Province. Began studying calligraphy at the age of 14, taking Ouyang Xun, Liu Gongquan, and Huang Tingjian's regular script as foundations, believing that the essence of calligraphy lies in spiritual charm. Meticulously copied classical masterpieces such as the Lingfei Jing and the Lan Ting Xu. With over thirty years of dedication, he specializes in large-character calligraphy (bangshu). His couplets and calligraphy works have won numerous awards in provincial and national competitions, and have been featured in media reports on DaZhong Culture Network, Calligraphy Appreciation Network, China View, and others. His calligraphy is vigorous yet robust, and his works are frequently collected by calligraphy enthusiasts, businesses, art galleries, and museums both domestically and internationally. With profound technical mastery and aesthetic appeal, he actively promotes the true essence of calligraphy.
In September 2014, he won the Gold Prize at the Korea International Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition. His work was collected by the National Museum of Korea. On November 10, 2015, at the "Second China Traditional Culture High-Level Forum and Famous Artists Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition," jointly organized by the China Oriental Culture Research Association, the Calligraphers Association of Central Government Agencies, the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles' Folk Art Center, the China National Minority Art and Culture Working Committee, the Sino-American Artists Federation, and the China Academy of Calligraphy Art, his calligraphy work "Qinyuanchun · Snow" received the Excellent Award. In June 2015, he won the Silver Award at the 10th "Hualong Cup" National Calligraphy Competition and was honored as one of China's Top 100 Calligraphers.
In October 2017, he was included in the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Celebrities Dictionary. He won the Gold Prize at the China-Malaysia-Thailand International Calligraphy and Painting Competition. His calligraphy works have been exhibited and collected in a touring exhibition across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and other countries.
