Personal Profile

Zhuang Liying was born into a family of artists in Linyi, the hometown of the Sage of Calligraphy, Wang Xizhi. Her father, Zhuang Bujin, and mother, Cui Xiaomei, have both been engaged in the art of painting and calligraphy. Influenced by her parents, she developed a love for painting and calligraphy from an early age, and her works as early as fifteen or sixteen were already collected by others. She later gained admission to the School of Fine Arts at Qingdao University of Science and Technology, specializing in Chinese painting, and earned her bachelor’s degree. With a solid professional foundation, she has pursued a career in art education after graduation while continuing to create paintings and calligraphy. Her works have been selected for and awarded in numerous provincial, regional, and national art exhibitions, making her a young painter with great potential. She is currently a member of the Chinese Ink Painting Society, the Chinese Gongbi Painting Society, the Chinese Figure Painting Society, a National First-Class Artist, a council member of the Linyi Youth Artists Association, and director of Kuanying Art Gallery.
