Wang Yuchao, male, born in 1991, member of the Communist Party of China, President of Tianyuan Calligraphy and Painting Academy, studied under Yuan Xundong and Zhang Jimin, received guidance from Yu Yantang, a disciple of Li Kuchan. Member of Weifang Calligraphers Association, member of Weifang Calligraphers and Painters Friendship Association, member of Weifang Youth Calligraphers Association, member of Binhai Calligraphy and Painting Association, member of Weifang Collectors Association, cultural relics supervisor. In 2011, won the Excellent Award in Calligraphy at the Shandong "Olympic Cup" Calligraphy and Painting Competition; works collected by Weifang Boguzhai. In 2012, won the Third Prize in Calligraphy at the Shandong Provincial Tax System. In 2013, won the Third Prize in Calligraphy at the Shandong Provincial Family Planning System. In 2016, won the Silver Award in Calligraphy at the Weifang "Tianyuan Cup" Calligraphy and Painting Competition. In 2016, works were selected for and exhibited at the Weifang "Youth Cup" and Kite Festival Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition Series of Mass Culture Exhibitions. His running-cursive script is dignified and rich, with interplay between dry and moist strokes, unconventional yet skillful composition, and a steady brush technique, forming a unique style. Many of his works have been published in journals such as “Art” and “Chinese Calligraphy.” In 2016, he was nominated for the Weifang “Yuandu Culture Award” and received the Binhai Development Zone Culture Award. His painting focuses mainly on freehand-style flowers and birds, characterized by grandeur and vigor, elegant ink usage, and innovative composition. He is also a renowned collector and expert in antique appraisal.
