Dong Runsheng, male, born in February 1939, from Tengzhou, Shandong, is the president of the China International Feng Shui Painting Research Institute, director of the Feng Shui Painting Committee at the China International Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, an internationally renowned master of Feng Shui painting, a national first-class artist, and professor at the China Calligraphy and Painting Correspondence University. He is also the dean of the Oriental Calligraphy and Painting Academy, chief editor of the "Oriental Calligraphy and Painting News," deputy director of the China Calligraphy and Art Creation Center, vice chairman of the World Artists Association, and honorary dean of more than 30 institutions including the Guilin Yanhuang Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Xizhi International Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Zhongyuan Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, and the Taiwan National Treasure Painting Academy. Passionate about calligraphy and painting since childhood, he studied under renowned masters Wang Xuezhong and Sun Qifeng early in his career, specializing in bird-and-flower paintings, particularly famous for his depictions of fish and chickens. His artistic style is simple and classical, yet innovative in conception—blending tradition with originality, featuring vigorous brushwork, a balance of simplicity and ingenuity, and excellent integration of form and spirit. Over the years, he has created a vast collection of artworks. His pieces "Hometown Journey" and "Flavors of Southern Shandong" were praised by master artist Wang Xuezhong as "exquisite brushwork bringing dragons and fish to life." His work "Yearning for Return" won the gold award in a national calligraphy and painting competition celebrating Macao's return. Another piece, "Autumn Wind and Bright Moon Reflect Leaping Fish," received a bronze award in a national calligraphy and painting competition organized by the Ministry of Culture.
