Dong Quanzhou

Quanzhou Dong, born in Jimo, Qingdao in 1956, has been enlightened by his grandfather since childhood and practiced calligraphy. He received professional guidance from several calligraphy and painting teachers during his middle school years. He started working in 1975, served as the town mayor in 1989, the party secretary of the town in 1992, the party secretary and director of the Jimo City Industrial Economic Commission in 1997, the deputy director of the office of the Jimo Municipal Committee and the director and party secretary of the Environmental Protection Industrial Park in 1999, and the party secretary of the Huanxiu Office in 2001. In 2003, he became the director of the North China Branch of the State Oceanic Administration. Along with his smooth official career, it is quite rare that Dong Quanzhou has always maintained the scholarly style of a traditional scholar, being well-versed in many fields such as calligraphy, agriculture, and engineering. His deep love for calligraphy art has become more refined over time.
