Cao Yang, styled Sigǔ, also known as Jiyintang Master, aged 30, native of Jiangsu Xuzhou, graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of Nanjing Radio and Television University. Currently, he is a First-Class Painter at the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Painting and a member of the Zouping Artists Association. Passionate about painting since childhood, he began with freehand brushwork, frequently copying works by renowned masters, diligently practicing and gradually developing a delicate and gentle artistic style. In recent years, he has devoted himself to creation, specializing in freehand bird-and-flower paintings and meticulous animal paintings, particularly excelling in depicting cats and tigers. His works won the Silver Award at the 3rd China Youth "Wei Ren Cup" in 2011; in the same year, he received the "Best Chinese Painting Award" at the 1st China Youth "Jin Xing Cup"; in 2009, his work "Goddess Subduing the Tiger" was collected by the organizing committee at the Invitational Exhibition of Masterpieces by Contemporary Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China; in 2008, he participated in the China International Calligraphy and Painting Art Expo — 4th International.
