Li, male, from Qingzhou, Shandong Province, born in September 1954, joined the military in 1974, served as a deputy regiment-level officer with the rank of Major in the Chinese People's Liberation Army, and transferred to the Jinan City State Taxation Bureau of Shandong Province in 1995. Over the past 40 years, he has published more than 3,500 news photographs, articles, and artistic images in newspapers and magazines such as the People's Daily, Liberation Army Daily, China Youth Daily, Guangming Daily, China Education News, China Taxation News, and Dazhong Daily. His photographic works have won first, second, and third prizes over 120 times in national, provincial, and municipal competitions. Due to outstanding performance, he was awarded Third-Class Merit for three consecutive years from 1987 to 1989, twice recognized as a "Lei Feng Model," and received multiple commendations. His calligraphy works have repeatedly won gold, silver, and bronze awards in provincial, municipal, and national calligraphy competitions.
Currently serves as: Invited Calligrapher by the Ministry of Culture, Honorary President of the Chinese August First Academy of Painting, Honorary Chairman of the Presidium of the International Organization for the Protection of Folk Culture, Permanent Academic Advisor of the Royal Foundation of Arts in England, Honorary President of the Chinese International Academy of Arts and Sciences, Vice Chairman of the World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organizations, Council Member of the China Association of Calligraphers and Artists, Advisory Member of Traditional Chinese Artists, Member of the China International Calligraphers Association, Council Member of the Confucius Academy of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy, Member of the Shandong Provincial Calligraphers Association, Member of the Jinan Society of Painting and Calligraphy Collectors, Honorary President of Jinan Guangyou Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, and member of more than twenty photography and calligraphy associations including the China Press Photographers Association, Shandong Photographers Association, Shandong Press Photographers Association, and Shandong Young Photographers Association.
His personal achievements, along with his photography and calligraphy works, have been included in over twenty publications and reference books such as the Dictionary of Chinese Photographers, Dictionary of Chinese Experts, Dictionary of Chinese Talents, World Figures, Who's Who in World Chinese Art, Chinese Century Experts, Collection of Masterpieces of Chinese Art and Calligraphy of the Republic, Red China Award-Winning Masterpieces Anthology, Essence of Chinese Culture, Cheer for the Olympics—Collection of National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition Works, Treasures of the World, Three Hundred Tang Poems, Textbook and Tutorial of Famous Chinese Calligraphers and Artists, and Influence Database of Chinese Calligraphy and Fine Arts.
