Ding Baogang, born in 1965. Graduated successively from the Art Department of Tai’an Teachers College and the College of Fine Arts of Shandong Normal University. Senior artist. Affiliated organizations: Member of the China Artists Association, Honorary President of the China Modern Literature and Art Society, Researcher at the China Association for Research on Famous Chinese and Foreign Cultural Figures, Academician of the People’s Artists Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Member of the China Contemporary Writers Association, Member of the National Oil Painting Society, Director of the Shandong Artists Association, Member of the Shandong Oil Painting Art Committee, Former Vice Chairman of the Tai’an Oil Painting Society, Vice Chairman of the Feicheng City Artists Association, etc. Passionate about painting since childhood, began participating in county and city-level grassroots art exhibitions during adolescence. As an adult, frequently participated in national and various levels of painting art exhibitions. His works are widely collected by society, government agencies, enterprises, memorial halls, etc., and he has also published poems, life mottos, and academic papers.

November 2002: Painting works included in the anthology “Contemporary Elite Artists of Calligraphy and Painting.” Early 2003: Participated in the National Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition commemorating the 40th anniversary of Chairman Mao Zedong’s inscription “Learn from Comrade Lei Feng” (Silver Award). Works collected by the Lei Feng Memorial Hall. July 2003: Participated in compiling and publishing the national comprehensive practical activity textbook for primary and secondary school students. Early 2006: Invited by the Feicheng Municipal CPPCC to sculpt a golden statue of Fan Li, the Sage of Commerce, at Taoshan’s “Fan Li Temple.” 2007: Sketch works included in the “Sketch Volume of Chinese Young and Middle-aged Artists’ Sketch Collection.” Awarded the title of Outstanding Sketch Artist. 2008: Oil painting works and artistic biography included in the art anthology “Master Teachers of a Generation,” published by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles Publishing House. May 2008 to 2009: Created the oil painting “Tomorrow Will Be Better.” Selected by China BoBao Artists Network as a nationally promoted and publicized work.
