       Guo Changfu, male, born in 1963 in Shandong Zaozhuang, is a member of the China Calligraphers Association. He currently resides in Tai’an and has a personal studio for calligraphy and painting at the Tai’an Hotel. Since childhood, he has been deeply passionate about the art of painting. In his youth, he studied flower-and-bird painting under the renowned local artist Mr. Cai Kegang. Later, he became a disciple of Mr. Hu Kaixi, learning landscape painting, oil painting, and meticulous-style painting. He frequently painted portraits of Chairman Mao, landscapes, and flower-and-bird paintings for industrial and mining enterprises, earning widespread acclaim; his works have been published multiple times in local newspapers and magazines.
       In 1998, he was invited to participate in the Gyeongju World Culture Expo in South Korea, followed by the Gwangju Art Expo, Cheongju Printing Expo, and Jeju Island Expo. His participation received extensive media coverage from Korean broadcasters such as KBS, SBS, and NBS. During his 13-year stay in Korea, he studied the styles of various Chinese and Western painting schools. His works have been collected by friends from Korea, Japan, Singapore, and several European countries, especially appreciated by Korean friends. After returning to China in 2010, he settled in Tai’an and devoted himself wholeheartedly to artistic creation—not seeking fame, but striving solely to further improve his painting skills. He regularly learned from senior artists, and under their guidance and assistance, his artistic level rapidly advanced. His works have received high praise from all walks of life and fellow artists. In 2008, he was appointed Vice President of the Shandong Kaixi Calligraphy and Painting Academy. Representative works include “One Hundred Tigers” and “One Hundred Roosters.” His works have repeatedly won provincial-level and higher awards. In 2011, Tai’an TV’s program “Story of Life” featured a special report on him, readily accessible online with a single click. In May 2013, he was specially invited by Mr. Zhou Changjie, Director of the Tai’an Maogongshan Red Culture Museum, to paint “Panoramic View of Mount Tai” and “Panoramic View of Maogongshan” for the museum, receiving high acclaim. He was subsequently appointed Honorary Director of the Tai’an Maogongshan Red Culture Museum.
