 Wang Qinqin, female, Han ethnicity, born in 1974, native of Shandong Qingdao, holds a bachelor’s degree.
Currently serves as:
Senior Calligrapher of the People’s Republic of China,
Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association,
Vice President of the Painting and Calligraphy Craft Research Institute of China Rural Art Association,
Calligrapher and Painter of Chinese State Gifts,
Member of the Shandong Provincial Retired Cadres Calligraphers and Painters Association,
Member of the Qingdao Female Calligraphers and Painters Association,
Member of the Laixi Female Calligraphers and Painters Association. Since childhood, influenced by her grandfather, she developed a deep passion for calligraphy and painting. After entering school, under her teachers’ guidance, she began studying masterpieces by renowned calligraphers such as Ouyang Xun, Yan Zhenqing, Liu Gongquan, Zhao Mengfu, Wang Xizhi, and the Han Dynasty’s “Yiying Stele.” In 1995, due to outstanding academic performance and on her teacher’s recommendation, she joined the Shandong Hard Pen Calligraphers Association while still a student. Thereafter, she continuously strove to learn and actively absorbed the strengths of modern and contemporary masters, gradually developing her own distinctive style—respecting tradition while maintaining individuality, fresh and unrestrained, yet sincere and unpretentious. Since starting work in 1997, she has annually coached numerous participants for Qingdao Art Festival calligraphy and painting competitions, consistently receiving the Outstanding Instructor Award. In 2006, she participated in Qingdao’s First Large-scale Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition; her soft-brush calligraphy won first prize and was published in the exhibition catalog. In 2008, her soft-brush calligraphy was published in “Guhe Moyun.” In 2009, she won first prize in calligraphy at Laixi City’s “Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the PRC” Calligraphy and Painting Competition, and her work was published in the catalog. In 2010, her traditional Chinese painting “Autumn Melody” won first prize in Qingdao’s Calligraphy and Painting Competition. In October 2014, her calligraphy won an award in the calligraphy and painting competition held in Qingdao and was published in the catalog. In 2015, her calligraphy won an award in Laixi City’s “Celebrating the 94th Anniversary of the Founding of the CPC” Calligraphy and Painting Competition, was published in the catalog, and her work was collected by the Laixi City Archives Bureau. In August 2016, she received the Certificate of Senior Calligrapher of the People’s Republic of China. In March 2017, her artwork was published in a newspaper in Los Angeles, USA!
