Personal Profile

Xue Lihou, styled Dapu, also known as Sanfu, master of Houpu Studio. Member of the Chinese Financial Calligraphers Association, Director of the Shandong Oracle Bone Script Society, Member of the Shandong Ceramic Art Committee, and Vice President of the Calligraphy and Painting Association of China Construction Bank Shandong Branch. Having practiced calligraphy for over thirty years, he specializes in seal carving and ancient script calligraphy. He won awards in multiple national calligraphy and seal carving exhibitions organized by the China Financial Federation of Literature and Art in 2014 and 2015, and received the second prize in the Global Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Art Competition in 2015. He has also won awards in numerous provincial and municipal calligraphy and painting competitions. His calligraphy works have been collected by collectors and friends in Canada, Malaysia, Taiwan, North Korea, South Korea, and many domestic collectors. His ceramic art works received an excellence award at the 43rd Shandong Ceramic Art Design Innovation Competition in 2017 with a ratio of 1/500. His Yixing teapot works featuring oracle bone script engraving are highly favored by Yixing pottery enthusiasts and collectors, with over one hundred pieces collected and created.
