Chen Peijun (Pizhou), born in 1967, holds a college diploma in Electrical Engineering. He has served in state-owned enterprises, holding positions such as department/division director, executive vice president and chief engineer, and general manager. In 2001, he received the Science and Technology Progress Award. Since his youth, he began studying Tang Dynasty Ouyang Xun’s regular script and Wang Xizhi’s running and cursive scripts under the guidance of his brother-in-law Huang Jianzhong (member of the Liaocheng Calligraphers Association), deeply absorbing their artistic essence. Later, he studied the works of Zhang Zhi, the “Sage of Cursive Script” from the Han Dynasty, and researched the complete collection of Chunhua Pavilion Rubbings. He settled in Qingdao in 2004 and formally became a disciple of Master Wang Hongji and Master Song Mingtai in 2017! Wang Hongji (member of the China Calligraphers Association, member of the Beijing Calligraphers Association, vice chairman of the Shijingshan District Calligraphers Association of Beijing, and chairman of the Shougang Calligraphers Association) was a disciple of Shen Yinmo. Master Song Mingtai is a member of the Zhuhai Calligraphers Association, currently serving as an academician of the Zhuhai Municipal Committee of CPPCC Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Guangdong Province Senior Calligraphers and Painters Association member, and director, reviewer, and head of the creation group of the Zhuhai Senior Calligraphy and Painting Research Association. Under the guidance of these two esteemed masters, Chen Peijun’s calligraphy has developed a unique style. His works have been exhibited across provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions throughout China, earning numerous awards and honors.
