Chen Guo, pen name Chen Mo, male, born in 1964 in Shandong Tai’an. He has been passionate about calligraphy and painting since childhood and holds a deep interest in these arts. Graduated from the Correspondence University of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting, he further studied in the Advanced Training Class of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting. He apprenticed under Mr. Fang Bo, a National Senior Artist, and later received instruction from the renowned master of flower-and-bird painting, Mr. Xu Zhan. For over thirty years, he has diligently practiced and studied, devotedly creating artworks and earnestly researching techniques, absorbing strengths from various sources. His works cover a wide range of subjects and forms, featuring skillful brushwork and ink techniques, a fresh and elegant style appealing to both refined and popular tastes. His art combines profound traditional foundations with unique personal style and life experience, exuding a strong sense of contemporary spirit and forming his own distinctive artistic style. His works have been collected by domestic and international calligraphy and painting enthusiasts, collectors, and institutions, and are included in the “Compendium of Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Masters.” He won the Best Painting Award in the 2017 Oriental Beauty Poetry, Calligraphy, and Painting Competition, and the Second Prize in the 2017 First Zhang Zeduan Cup Calligraphy and Painting Competition. He is also an invited artist of the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Network in Sydney, Australia.
