Liu Xuefeng, styled Qingfeng, also known as Shuizhu Jushi, male, holds a postgraduate degree, born in Shandong Liaocheng. Currently a member of the Liaocheng Municipal Directly-Administered Calligraphers Association, a council member of the same association, and Secretary-General of the Development Zone Calligraphers and Painters Association. He has loved calligraphy since childhood, diligently practicing regardless of freezing winters or scorching summers, never ceasing his daily practice. His regular script follows the ancient master Zhao Mengfu’s “Danba Stele,” while his running script is primarily based on the “Lanting Xu” (Preface to the Poems Composed at the Orchid Pavilion) by Wang Xizhi of the Two Wangs tradition, using the Hui Gong grid system. In 1990, while teaching, he participated multiple times in staff and faculty calligraphy and painting competitions and won awards; in 1994, he received the first prize in the staff and faculty calligraphy and painting competition, and his representative work “The Emotion and Love of Substitute Teachers” won an excellence award. He has frequently participated in national calligraphy competitions and brush-writing gatherings, winning numerous awards; his works have been collected and used for home decoration by enterprises, institutions, and individuals both within and outside the province, including Taiwan. In 2017, he was honored as “The Most Influential Artist” by “Art Touches China.”
