Li Yipu, also known as Yipu, styled Yida, and self-styled as "The Hermit of Dizhujian" and "Master of the Divination Altar," male, born in October 1968 in Xihu Town, Rizhao, Shandong Province, specifically in the village of Dizhujian. He holds a university education, is a member of the Communist Party of China, and is a senior engineer, senior project management specialist, senior technician, nationally registered safety engineer, constructor, and senior professional manager. He is a member of the Donggang District Calligraphers Association of Rizhao City, the Rizhao Hard Pen Calligraphers Association, and the Rizhao Folk Artists Association. He also serves as a safety expert for the Rizhao Municipal Work Safety Committee, a supervisor for the municipal government's conduct improvement initiatives, a special correspondent for China Construction News, a member of the Junan Folk Culture Society, and a member of the Chinese Zhouyi Association. Additionally, he is a senior lecturer in feng shui and destiny analysis. He is an adjunct professor at Rizhao Polytechnic, Rizhao Technician College, and Shandong Water Conservancy Vocational College. Currently, he is employed by Xindonggang Holding Group Co., Ltd., specializing in quality and safety management within the construction industry.He grew up in the rural village of Dizhujian, raised beside the Divination Pond of Rizhao Reservoir. Passionate about traditional culture since childhood, after learning calligraphy he often wrote wedding invitations for his family’s blind-school ancestral master, from whom he absorbed profound influences and began studying the Yi Jing. Later, he formally apprenticed under Master Li Shinian and has devoted himself to Yi Jing studies ever since. His expertise includes auspicious date selection, feng shui, naming, and dispelling negative influences—guiding people toward fortune and away from misfortune, benefiting the public, accumulating virtue through good deeds, and promoting traditional culture. He has also explored traditional Chinese medicine, particularly meridian and acupoint therapies. His techniques—including manual bone-setting, acupuncture, and herbal remedies for pain relief and dampness removal—have successfully treated countless patients suffering from neck, shoulder, waist, and leg pain, bringing them relief and hope. Since his teenage years, he has loved calligraphy and painting, practicing both hard-pen and brush calligraphy. He initially studied the styles of Ouyang Xun and Liu Gongquan; after years of immersion, he turned to Han dynasty clerical script and bamboo-slip calligraphy. In recent years, he has focused on imitating the clerical scripts of masters such as Zhang Huichen and Liu BingSen, while deeply loving seal script. Bonded with brush and ink, he explores ancient and modern styles, researching and creating a uniquely distinctive brushwork technique and marvelous compositional methods, earning high praise from peers. He operates the Yidefu Zhengmingtang Center for Auspicious Date Selection and Wellness. Sociable and eager to learn, he enjoys exchanging knowledge with others. In his spare time, while studying the Yi Jing, selecting auspicious dates, practicing wellness therapies, offering psychological counseling, and teaching part-time, he frequently travels to seek instruction from renowned masters of esoteric arts across northern and southern China, absorbing their essence to better serve his wide audience.
