Personal Profile

Sun Xiaofan, born as Sun Li, styled Xiaofan, from Weifang, is a famous female painter. She graduated in 1998 from the Shandong Academy of Fine Arts and Crafts, studying under the renowned bird-and-flower painting master Guo Zhiguang. She furthered her studies at the Landscape Painting Class of the Renmin University of China School of Arts. Currently, she is a member of the Shandong Artists Association, a standing director of the Youth Artists Association, and serves as the deputy secretary-general of the Shandong Contemporary Bird-and-Flower Calligraphy and Painting Institute. Over the years, she has been constantly honing her skills, visiting numerous masters, and drawing on their strengths. Her works are distinctively styled, with bold and unrestrained brushwork that often exudes passion. Her series of lotus paintings, which convey harmony and beauty, especially her recent works of heavy-color splashed ink landscapes, have been highly favored by many art collectors. Her works have won awards multiple times in various exhibitions within the province and have been collected.
