 Ren Aimin, male, native of Heze, Shandong, was born in 1970 by the shores of Leize Lake. After graduating from junior high school, he began practicing calligraphy. Though merely a farmer, he has danced with brush and ink for over thirty years without pause, diligently copying and studying the four great classical stele scripts, taking ancient masters as his teachers and finding joy in the process. Currently, he makes his living at the Buddhist holy site of Mount Wutai, where he has had the good fortune to meet many renowned scholars and virtuous individuals, establishing wide-ranging friendships and gaining profound benefits. He frequently receives guidance from eminent monks at local temples, continuously improving his calligraphy skills. He is now a member of the Mount Wutai Calligraphy Association in Shanxi. During this time, he has won the Third Prize in the Sixth China Calligraphy and Fine Arts Competition, the Third Prize in the First China Zhonghua Cup Competition, and an Excellence Award in the Lanting Xu Calligraphy Competition. He has also successfully signed a contract with Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Artists, and is deeply appreciated by many friends.
