Personal Profile

Duan Xiaofeng, master of Luoyue Pavilion, is a native of Binzhou, Shandong. He was born in the late autumn of 1973. Currently, he is a member of the Calligraphy Association and a council member of the Poetry, Calligraphy and Painting Society. In his youth, he followed contemporary trends and practiced calligraphy from various schools; in his young adulthood, he entered formal training and began studying clerical script. Upon reaching middle age, he immersed himself in the world of Ouyang Xun’s regular script, captivated by its elegance and dynamic tension. His daily practice of small regular script never ceases—he writes every day, never letting his brush rest. Though years have passed without major breakthroughs, he remains unwavering and finds joy in the process!
