Liu Zhijie

Liu Zhijie's Artistic Profile: Liu Zhijie, born in 1964 in Shandong Laixi, with the courtesy name Zijie and pseudonym Xianyunju. He has loved calligraphy and painting since childhood and has persistently pursued them as an amateur while working in society. In 1988, he studied under Li Yunde and Liu Shijun; in 1991, he graduated from Qilu Calligraphy and Painting Correspondence University. During this period, he received profound guidance and instruction from masters such as Zhang Yanqing, Zhang Zhimin, and Ma Longqing. He is currently a painter at the Qilu Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, a member of the Shandong Provincial Retired Cadres Calligraphy and Painting Association, a member of the Laixi Calligraphy and Painting Association, and Vice President of Zhenyixuan Calligraphy and Painting Academy. He specializes in landscape painting, following the styles of Tang and Song dynasty landscapes, returning to tradition, embracing the principle that "the greatest truths are the simplest," meticulously studying ancient techniques, and developing his own distinctive painting style characterized by broad appeal, deeply loved by friends from all walks of society. His works have won numerous awards, and many pieces are treasured by friends from various social circles.
