Chen Xiumei
Personal Profile
Chen Xiumei, Manchu ethnicity, from Haicheng, Liaoning in northeastern China. She graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of the Fine Arts College at Southwest Normal University and further studied at the Wang Wenfang Studio at the Beijing Academy of Painting; member of China Artists Association; national first-class painter; professional painter at the Ningxia Academy of Painting and Calligraphy.
Exhibitions and Awards:
1992 National "National Defense Cup" Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition; "Returning Home" won an Excellence Award;
1999 Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China, "A Thousand Cliffs Compete in Beauty" won a Bronze Award;
2000 National Painting and Calligraphy "Yaojixing Cup", "Spring Charm" won an Excellence Award;
2000 Commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the Publication of Mao Zedong’s "Talks at the Yan’an Forum on Literature and Art", "Sentiment of the Frontier" was selected;
2000 The Second National Art Exhibition of Five Autonomous Regions, "Spring Returns to the Earth" was selected;
2003 The 7th National Minority Traditional Sports Games Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition, "Deep Autumn on the Frontier" was selected;

2013 China International Philately, State Post, and Telecom departments issued a commemorative collector’s album honoring contemporary renowned artists who have made significant contributions, with six pieces issued; 2013 specially appointed painter by Zhonghua Meishu Network;

2014 Participated in the Third Arab Arts Festival Ningxia Academy of Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition;
