Wang Yanbin

Wang Yanbin, born in February 1967, is originally from Huinan County, Jilin Province. He settled in Zhifu District, Yantai City, Shandong Province in 1982 and currently resides in Xihai'an Community. Since childhood, he has lived with a disability caused by polio. Despite life’s hardships, he maintains an optimistic and dignified personality. Passionate about painting since early age, he taught himself art. In 1987, he won the Special Prize in oil painting and Third Prize in traditional Chinese painting at the Youth Art Exhibition organized by Yantai Municipal Bureau of Culture. In 1998, he became a member of Yantai Painting Academy and has published works in multiple periodicals. In 2013, he became a member of both the Yantai Oil Painters Association and the Artists Association.
