Guan Shuo, born in May 1966 in Zhucheng, Shandong. Chairman of the Daming Jichang Workshop; Special Correspondent of "China Report" under the State Council Information Office; Calligrapher in the Art Talent Database of the Cultural Talent Center, Ministry of Culture and Tourism; Calligrapher in the China Cultural and Art Talents Database; Member of the Shandong Calligraphers Association; Vice President of the China Guan Zhong Calligraphy and Painting Academy; Vice President of the China Dongyi Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute.

Major Artistic Achievements:
 
In 1991, three works were exhibited in the joint exhibition of the geological and mining systems of five central-southern provinces.
 
January 1993: Won the Second Prize in the Second Red Army Cup National Calligraphy and Painting Competition.
 
December 1993: Selected for the Second Exhibition of New Artists and New Works in Chinese Calligraphy (organized by the Chinese Calligraphers Association).
 
April 2007: Selected for the National Calligraphy Exhibition Commemorating the 1359th Anniversary of Sun Guoting’s Birth.
 
June 2007: Won the First Prize in the Zhonghua Cup National Calligraphers and Painters Invitational Competition.

His works have been published in newspapers including “Calligraphy News”, “Youth Calligraphy News”, “Chinese Calligraphy and Painting News”, “China Geology News”, “China Land and Resources News”, “Land and Resources Herald”, “Geology and Mineral Resources Newspaper”, “Qilu Evening News”, “Linyi Radio and Television Newspaper”, “Qilu Style Literary Newspaper”, “Da Beifang”, and others. His works and name are recorded in more than twenty compendiums, including “Who’s Who in Chinese Calligraphy and Painting”, “Fine Works of Chinese Hard Pen Calligraphy Artists”, “Elites of Modern Chinese Hard Pen Calligraphy”, “Selected Poems of One Hundred Poets 2014”, and the 2018 “Belt and Road, Walking Together” National Masters Calligraphy and Painting Collection.
