Qi Yanqing

Qi Yanqing, the owner of Qi Wu Zhai, was born in Weifang, Shandong Province in 1956. After graduating from university, he has been working in party and government agencies. He is currently a visiting professor at the Department of Fine Arts of Dezhou University, the executive vice president of the Chinese Painting Art Research Institute, and the dean of the Shandong Branch of the institute. In 1989, he joined the Shandong Branch of the Chinese Calligraphers Association and became one of the initiators of the study of Shu style calligraphy. In 1990, he became a student of Shu Tong. His works have won many national and provincial first prizes and gold awards multiple times, and several of his works have been collected by the China Collection Association and various departments.
