 Xiang Hongli, pen name Hongli, courtesy name Shan Zhi, pseudonym Baisha, is a native of Qingdao City, Shandong Province. Trained by his father from childhood, he has a deep passion for calligraphy. Proficient in regular script, running script, official script, cursive script, and seal script, he excels particularly in official and regular scripts, and is especially skilled in large-character (banner) calligraphy. He is a member of the Shanghai Chinese Calligraphers Association, a member of the Shandong Provincial Hard-pen Calligraphers Association, a member of the China Calligraphers Association, and an advisor to the Meilan Academy in Shanghai.
       Graduated in 1998 from Wuxi Art Institute of Calligraphy and Painting in Jiangsu Province.
       In 2003, won an Excellence Award at the Calligraphy Exhibition commemorating the 110th anniversary of Mao Zedong's birth, with the work signed and collected by Li Min.
       In 2004, won First Prize at the joint exhibition celebrating the 55th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
       In 2010, received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2nd China Lanting Cup Competition, and also won a Bronze Award at the 21st Shanghai Wenming Laibao National Calligraphy and Painting Competition in the same year.

       Has repeatedly won awards in various calligraphy exhibitions in Qingdao City. In recent years, his works have been widely appreciated and collected by collectors in Qingdao, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Northeast China, and other regions, and he has participated multiple times in calligraphy auctions in Shanghai and Beijing.
