Personal Profile

Xie Xiangan, male, styled Yiren, born in 1978, is a native of Zoucheng, Shandong. He graduated in 2000 from the “Fine Arts Department” of Jining Business School in Shandong Province. Later, he studied under the painter Meng Qiao of Yanzhou, becoming a second-generation disciple of the renowned freehand-style flower-and-bird painter Fu Xingbo. Over the years, he has diligently studied painting and calligraphy, humbly seeking guidance from various teachers and friends, continuously refining his artistic skills. He specializes in flower-and-bird subjects, while also excelling in figure painting, landscape, and calligraphy; particularly, his meticulous-style paintings of lotuses and fish feature smooth lines, lively and dynamic forms, bright yet harmonious colors, and natural compositions, earning widespread recognition and affection from both the art community and the general public. He is regarded as a contemporary artist with significant potential for appreciation in value.
In 2016, his meticulous-stylework “Golden Jade Fills the Hall” won the Merit Award at the First Zou-Lu Scenic Sketch Exhibition.In 2017, his meticulous-stylework “Golden Jade Fills the Hall” received an Excellence Award at the First “Textile Light” National Textile Industry Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition. In 2018, his freehand works “Integrity” and “Pure and Clear” won the Second Prize at the “Celebrating Integrity Calligraphy, Painting and Photography Exhibition” held by Shandong Iron and Steel Group in Jinan. These works exemplify the subtle, nurturing power of art, promoting the concept of clean governance with strong ideological, artistic, and contemporary relevance.Current positions: Painter at Shandong Huahan Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Art Consultant for the Jining High-Tech Zone Calligraphers Association, Member of the Zoucheng Artists Association, Director of Yufengxuan Art Museum in Zoucheng, and Proprietor of Yirenxuan Calligraphy and Painting Studio.
