Personal Profile

Pan Jianhua, born in 1967 in Gaotang County, Shandong Province—the hometown of master Li Kuchan—currently resides in Beijing. He graduated from Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts in 1988 and holds the title of National First-Class Artist.He studied under Wu Shanming and Wu Jingchu, later apprenticing under renowned painters Sun Dashi, Li Hang, Wang Xiu, Wen Liuchuan, and He Shuifa, dedicating over twenty years to the study of Chinese painting.He is a specially invited painter at the Li Kuchan Art Museum; his freehand eagle paintings inherit the authentic teachings of Professor Li Hang and he is a descendant of the master.Currently, he is a member of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association, Shandong Provincial Artists Association,member of the Shandong Bird-and-Flower Painting Research Society, member of the Gaotang Li Kuchan Art Museum Research Society, and Vice President of Jiangbei Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
He has practiced painting since childhood, deeply immersed in the artistic world of calligraphy and painting, with solid foundational skills. He especially loves freehand bird-and-flower paintings and peonies. His depictions of eagles and roosters are rooted in tradition while seeking innovation—elegant yet resolute, with a unique style and delicate brushwork. Works such as “High Vision,” “Pine and Eagle,” “Far-Sighted,” “Wealth and Auspiciousness,” “Spring Breeze in Luoyang,” and “Flourishing Blossoms” have won gold medals and various awards in national, provincial, and municipal competitions and evaluations. His works have been collected by relevant national ministries and overseas celebrities. He has been awarded titles such as “Contemporary Chinese Literati Calligrapher and Painter.” Currently, he is a member of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association, member of the Shandong Bird-and-Flower Painting Research Society, member of the Gaotang Li Kuchan Art Museum Research Society, and Vice President of Jiangbei Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
