Personal Profile

Painter Wang Zaiguang, courtesy name (Botan), is a native of Gaomi, Shandong. He has loved fine arts since childhood and majored in calligraphy. In 1992, he graduated from the Arts and Crafts Department of Shandong Provincial Vocational Secondary Specialized School. Based on calligraphy and sketching, he has continuously studied and practiced, progressing from copying ancient masters and receiving expert guidance to creating works from life, significantly enhancing his artistic level. Through persistent effort, he is currently: Member of the New Literature and Art Committee of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association, Member of the Shandong Youth Calligraphers Association, Member of the Qingdao Youth Calligraphers Association,Director of the Laoshan District Calligraphers Association of Qingdao,Director of the Laoshan District Artists Association of Qingdao, Director of the Laoshan District Youth Calligraphers Association of Qingdao. Mr. Wang Zaiguang is a sincere and diligent contemporary young artist. In 2013, he founded “Botan Studio,” integrating art education and creation. In recent years, through a rigorous academic approach, he has cultivated a large number of qualified art talents for universities nationwide. In Chinese painting creation, he builds upon traditional culture, combining his years of learning experience with innovative techniques to express his inner voice. His works are uniquely crafted, preserving tradition while incorporating his own perspectives and innovations. This practical, diligent, and academically rigorous attitude has earned widespread praise from all sectors of society!
