Liu Fengjian, male, pseudonym Banwei. Born in July 1954, native of Weifang, Shandong. Member of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association, member of the Chinese Hard Pen Calligraphy Association, member of the Weifang Calligraphers and Painters Association, Deputy Secretary-General of the Military Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute of Weifang City Support-the-Army-and-Promote-the-Family-of-Soldiers Association, and researcher at the Weifang Creation Base of the American Academy of Calligraphy and Painting Art. Graduated in 1987 from the correspondence course of Henan Calligraphy Correspondence Institute. His calligraphy works have won: Excellence Award in the "Sunset Red" National Senior Calligraphy and Painting Competition Commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the War of Resistance Against Japan; Excellence Award in the 2nd National "Land and Resources Cup" Calligraphy Competition; Silver Award in the Jiuyang Cup Shandong Senior Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition; First Prize in the National Exhibition Commemorating the 900th Anniversary of Mi Fu's Death; Gold Award in the Chinese "Youlanfu Cup" Calligraphy and Painting Competition; Selected for the exhibition jointly organized by Shandong Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Calligraphy Association, Artists Association, and United Daily to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution; Excellence Award in the 2nd Xi'an Stele Forest Calligraphy Competition; 2nd "Guan Di Ode" Cross-Strait Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition; Invitational Exhibition of Chinese Calligraphers and Painters at the Louvre Museum in France; First Prize in the inaugural "Huashen Cup" Cross-Year National Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition.
