Personal Profile

Gao Hongmei is currently a member of the Shandong Provincial Artists Association and the Zibo Municipal Artists Association, and works at the Zibo Kaiyuan Gao Shi Hongmei Chinese Painting Studio. She is also Vice President of the Zibo Guan Zhong Calligraphy and Painting Academy. Since childhood, painter Gao Hongmei has practiced painting diligently and persistently, exploring art with great dedication. During her school years, she excelled in painting, studying with diligence and seriousness. Her works respect classical traditions while avoiding rigid imitation, continuously expanding into new artistic domains and spaces. Her landscape paintings skillfully employ contrasts of density and sparsity, as well as the interplay of void and substance. Her compositions are ingenious, blending color and ink harmoniously, balancing detail and abstraction with a style that is simple yet profound. She frequently travels throughout China’s famous mountains and rivers to sketch from life, and her works have been exhibited multiple times in large-scale national painting exhibitions.
