From an early age, Zhang Yu has had a deep passion for painting, calligraphy, and traditional Chinese studies. She founded Linlu Hui Cultural Communication Co., Ltd., Zhiqing Academy, Taiji Yu Yijing National Studies Research Institute, among others. Her works have been exhibited multiple times and compiled into publications, receiving high praise and collection by individuals across various sectors in China.
Reverend Zhang Yu upholds the philosophy of accumulating virtue, performing good deeds, saving the suffering world, rescuing all beings, and educating humanity. The Taibai Sect’s patriarch Changle (also known as Taibai Jizi) passed down easily understandable natural numerology, transformations of Yin-Yang and Feng Shui, and methods of adjustment and harmony to help future generations resolve difficulties. By studying correlations between nature and human fortune or misfortune—including health, disasters, auspiciousness, astronomy, calendar systems, and the essence of Yin-Yang Feng Shui—he established generational names: Taiyi, Taibai, Taiji, and Tailyu. As the lineage holder and founder of the Taibai Sect, Zhang Yu (Master Taiji Yu) has loved painting, calligraphy, and Chinese classics since childhood. She participated in founding the Taibai Sect, Lu Hui Cultural Communication Co., Ltd., Langya Wang Xizhi Academy, Zhiqing Academy, and the Taiji Yu Yijing National Studies Research Institute. Her works have been exhibited numerous times and published in collections, receiving coverage from major domestic media outlets. Known for her compassion, kindness, diligence, and dedication, she has spent decades deeply studying the Yijing. She further researched and innovated within the Taibai tradition, integrating Confucianism, Buddhism, and Daoism to establish the "Taiji Yu" Yijing Research Association. She has repeatedly received honors such as Feng Shui Expert, China Fuxi Yijing Training Instructor, China Fuxi Yijing Specialist, and Senior Lecturer of China Fuxi Yijing, earning widespread admiration and respect.
She now has many disciples, whose ordained names include: Tailyu Jun, Tailyu Ping, Tailyu Cheng, Tailyu Xiang, Tailyu Cai, Tailyu Jie, Tailyu Kai, Tailyu Tong, Tailyu Ning, Tailyu Lei, Tailyu Nuo, Tailyu Chen, Tailyu Han, Tailyu Heng, Tailyu Qing, Tailyu Zhen, Tailyu Jian, Tailyu Fan, Tailyu Kai, Tailyu Peng, Tailyu Gui, Tailyu Hao, Tailyu Ze, Tailyu Zi, Tailyu Bao, and others.
Reverend Zhang Yu, together with her disciples, continues the cultural essence of Confucian virtues—benevolence, wisdom, propriety, righteousness, trustworthiness, gentleness, goodness, modesty, frugality, and humility. She has organized and participated in multiple Nishan Confucius memorial ceremonies, actively promoting traditional culture and national studies education with the spirit of “virtue bears all things” and “unceasing self-improvement,” tirelessly striving to build a harmonious society.
On the 2570th anniversary of the birth of Confucius, China's great thinker, educator, and founder of Confucianism—the Supreme Sage and First Teacher—Zhang Yu, leader of Linyi Lu Hui Cultural Communication Company in Shandong and President of the Chinese Yijing Research Association, led her disciples and prominent figures including Zhang Rongde (the famous "Peony Prince" of Linyi), Wang Junhai (Director of Propaganda Department of the Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Circles), Professor Zhao Guiqiu (a guqin inheritor in Linyi), and Feng Youqin (Chairman of Hedong Artists Association), to pay homage in Qufu. To promote traditional Chinese culture and focus on ideological development and social harmony through Confucius memorial rituals, this event aims to further advance Chinese national studies, enrich the historical and cultural connotation of Linyi, remind future generations of the teachings of the ancient sages—benevolence, wisdom, propriety, righteousness, trustworthiness, gentleness, goodness, modesty, frugality, and humility—inherit the essence of Confucian culture, and construct a harmonious society with the spirit of “virtue bears all things” and “unceasing self-improvement.” Let us join hands and strive together for the great rejuvenation of Chinese traditional culture!
