 Wang Limao, male, born in 1962, is a native of Linyi City, Shandong. He graduated from the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts in 1983. He is currently a member of the Shandong Provincial Artists Association, the Shandong Calligraphers Association, the Linyi Calligraphers Association, the Linyi Artists Association, and the Dean of Yunmozhai Calligraphy and Painting Academy.  His calligraphy specializes in regular script and clerical script. His regular script began with Yan Zhenqing and Liu Gongquan styles,  gradually developing his own artistic style. His clerical script, based on traditional Han dynasty clerical script, incorporates the essence of Master Liu BingSen’s modern clerical style. His works exhibit traditional simplicity, heavy strokes, elegant demeanor, and refined beauty. His Chinese paintings mainly focus on flowers and birds, particularly excelling in painting fish, roosters, and peonies. His works are concise and vivid, elegant and fresh, lifelike, and appealing to both refined and popular tastes. His works have been exhibited multiple times at national, provincial, municipal, and county levels and are collected by friends both domestically and overseas.
