Chen Yanming, courtesy name Qingyuan, master of Tairanxuan. Born in 1980 in Shandong Liaocheng, currently resides in Beijing. Member of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association, Academician of the China Guodian Calligraphy and Painting Academy, member of the Beijing Calligraphers Association, member of the Beijing Poetry, Calligraphy and Painting Research Society, Director of the Chinese Shu Tong Calligraphy Research Association, Academician of the Shandong Shu Tong Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute.                    Since childhood, he inherited family teachings and extensively studied ink traces of historical masters, excelling in calligraphy and seal carving, particularly renowned for his running script and large-character calligraphy. Later, he studied the works of contemporary renowned calligraphy masters such as Shu Tong, Qi Gong, Zhou Huijun, and Sun Deyou, earnestly learning and capturing their essence with both spirit and form. His works feature precise structure and coherent spirit, drawing from diverse strengths; through years of daily practice and persistent study, he has accumulated profound calligraphic skills and gradually developed a unique artistic style. His works have participated in national, provincial, and municipal calligraphy and painting exhibitions and won multiple awards. His calligraphy has been published in numerous newspapers and magazines including Chinese Calligraphy Magazine, Hanmo Feng, Chaoyang Yiyuan, Urban World, China Calligraphy and Painting News, Beijing Evening News, Jinghua Times, Shu Tong Newspaper, and China Stamp Market Express. In 2009, he was invited to inscribe the plaque “Jihe Tower” for the Shu Tong Hometown Pagoda in Jiangxi Dongxiang. In February 2012, he was invited to be included in the “Collection of Fine Works from Ninety National Calligraphy and Painting Masters Exhibition.” In February 2016, he was invited to participate in the commemorative Shu Tong 110th Birthday Calligraphy and Documentation Exhibition jointly organized by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Chinese Calligraphers Association, Political Department Propaganda Division of the Chinese Academy of Military Sciences, and Shaanxi Shu Tong Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute. In March 2016, he was featured in the special “Hanmo Feng” issue produced by People’s Weekly under the supervision of People’s Daily. In February 2017, he was invited to participate in the Guodian Academy’s Kilometer-long Calligraphy Scroll event. He has published works such as “Chen Yanming Calligraphy Collection” and “Zuimo Xuan Seal Impressions.”
