Personal Profile
Li Pingjia, formerly known as Li Pingjia, pen name Li Diancheng, was born in 1952 in Ningjin County, Shandong Province. He is a doctoral candidate in Management, a researcher, master’s supervisor, and professor at Peking University. Currently, he serves as Vice President of the China Wisdom Engineering Research Association under the Ministry of Education, Executive President of the China International Celebrities Artists Association, President of the Beijing Celebrities Gourmet Health Association, Director of the Century Guolian Gourmet Culture Exchange Center, Honorary President of multiple calligraphy and painting academies including Beijing Yihai Baichuan, Director of the Beijing Calligraphers Association, and Advisor to the Chinese Large-Character Calligraphy Association.
Chairman of the Calligraphy and Painting Committee of the Global Chamber of Commerce Alliance under the United Nations Development Programme. He has been awarded the honorary title of "Peace Envoy" by the United Nations and received by the UN Deputy Secretary-General. His paintings of the sea have been exhibited in over a dozen countries worldwide. According to the evaluation by the Ministry of Culture’s Art Appraisal Committee, the market price of his calligraphy and paintings reached 25,000 RMB per square foot in 2010.
