Personal Profile

Li Kaihua, native of Jinan, Shandong. Born in 1954, he initially studied painting under the elderly Jinan artist Li Tianyou, and later received profound guidance from Mr. Wang Tianchi, a disciple of Qi Baishi. Subsequently, he enrolled in the Chinese Painting Department of Shandong Normal University. Specializing in bird-and-flower painting while also engaging in landscape painting, his works are vivid in brushwork and ink, rigorously structured, and full of delightful charm, possessing considerable artistic appeal. After decades of diligent practice and dedication, he has developed his own distinctive style, earning recognition and praise from peers and the public alike. Currently, he is a member of the Shandong Elderly Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, a member of the Jinan Artists Association, a senior painter at the Shandong Academy of Painting, Vice President of the Jinan Shenzhou Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and Vice President of the Jinan Sunshine Calligraphy and Painting Academy. His works have been repeatedly published in provincial and municipal periodicals and have won awards.
