Personal Profile

Wu Yu, styled Zhuoru, Daoist name Qingqian, is a landscape painter born in 1963, originally from Tai’an, Shandong. He currently serves as a painter at the Daoist Painting and Calligraphy Academy of the Chinese Taoist Association, director of the Shandong Provincial Academy of Traditional Chinese Painting, vice president and secretary-general of the Jining Painting and Calligraphy Research Association, vice president of the Jining Ethnic Painting and Calligraphy Association, secretary-general of the Rencheng District Artists Association of Jining, president of the Jining Daoist Painting and Calligraphy Academy, deputy secretary-general of the Jining Taoist Association, and the 23rd-generation disciple of the Quanzhen Daoist Jinshan Sect. He studied under the renowned landscape painter Mr. Yang Guichuan.
