Yu Weidong, male, Han ethnicity. Born in 1967, native of Jinan, member of the Communist Party of China.Mr. Yu Weidong has loved painting since childhood. Over the years, he has diligently studied, attended various painting lectures by renowned artists, continuously sought guidance from masters, and became a disciple of Mr. Wang Peixiu, a student of the national painting master Qi Baishi, thus becoming a second-generation disciple of Qi Baishi.Mr. Yu Weidong has extensively explored landscape and bird-and-flower paintings, especially achieving remarkable success in painting shrimp, inheriting the authentic techniques of Master Qi Baishi. He enjoys high reputation in society, frequently participates in public welfare activities, donates with love, assists the disabled, and regularly joins painting exhibitions at all levels, winning gold, silver, and bronze awards. His works are continuously included in various calligraphy and painting compendiums.Currently, he serves as a council member of the Confucius Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Association, a member of the Shandong Provincial Institute of Senior Calligraphy and Painting, a member of the Jinan Cultural Relics Collection and Preservation Association Painting and Calligraphy Academy, and a member of the Lixia District Artists Association in Jinan City.
